Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the chicken wings in a large mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the wings.
  • Toss everything until the wings are evenly coated with oil and spices.
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the sheet from the oven.
  • Pour the barbecue sauce over the wings and toss to coat them fully.
  • Return the wings to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes until the sauce thickens and sticks.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Arrange the wings in a circle on a dark platter with the tips pointing outward to emphasize the bat wing shape. If you want a smokier flavor, swap regular barbecue sauce for a hickory version. Leftovers reheat best in a 350-degree oven for 8 minutes to restore crispness instead of using a microwave.
