- 8 ounces tequila
- 8 ounces Campari
- 8 ounces sweet vermouth
- 1 teaspoon activated charcoal powder
- Ice cubes
- 4 orange slices
Combine the tequila, Campari, sweet vermouth, and activated charcoal powder in a mixing glass. Stir until the charcoal is fully dissolved and the mixture turns black. Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and stir for 20 seconds to chill. Strain into four rocks glasses filled with fresh ice. Add one orange slice to each glass as garnish.
Stir the charcoal in thoroughly before adding ice so the color stays even. If you want a slightly sweeter finish, use a touch more sweet vermouth. These cocktails taste best right after mixing and do not store well once diluted with ice.
