Large Pitcher
Muddler
Measuring Jigger
- 8 ounces gin
- 4 ounces blackberry liqueur
- 4 ounces fresh lemon juice
- 2 ounces simple syrup
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- Ice cubes
- 8 ounces chilled club soda
Place half the blackberries in a large pitcher and muddle them gently until they release their juice.
Add the gin, blackberry liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the pitcher.
Stir the mixture well until the ingredients are fully combined.
Fill four glasses with ice cubes and divide the blackberry mixture evenly among them.
Top each glass with club soda and give it a light stir.
Garnish the remaining glasses with the rest of the blackberries before serving.
Muddle the blackberries just enough to break them up without turning them into a puree, or the drink can turn cloudy. If you want a sweeter batch, add an extra half ounce of simple syrup after tasting. Prepare the base mixture without the club soda up to two hours ahead and keep it in the fridge, then add the soda right before guests arrive to keep the fizz.
