Blender
Measuring spoons
Shot glasses
- 1 (28-ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
- Celery sticks and green olives for garnish
Pour the canned tomatoes and their juices into a blender. Add the vodka, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt, lemon juice, and horseradish.
Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and no tomato chunks remain.
Taste and adjust the hot sauce or horseradish if you want more spice. Blend again briefly to combine.
Pour the soup into small glasses or shot glasses. Add a celery stick and an olive to each one for garnish.
Serve these shooters at room temperature or slightly chilled so the vodka flavor stays bright. If you prefer a warmer version, heat the blended soup gently on the stove without letting it boil. Use a mild hot sauce if guests are sensitive to spice, and skip the vodka for a nonalcoholic batch.
