Candy Corn Layered Bean Dip

Cuisine American
Mixing Bowl
Clear Serving Dish
Spoon
- 1 (16-ounce) can refried beans
- 1 cup corn kernels, drained
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Tortilla chips, for serving
In a medium bowl, stir together the refried beans, corn kernels, and cheddar cheese until evenly combined. Spread this mixture into the bottom of a clear serving dish to form the yellow base layer.
Spoon the salsa over the bean layer and spread it gently into an even orange middle layer.
Add the sour cream on top and smooth it into a white layer that covers the salsa completely.
Set the dish out with tortilla chips for dipping.
Use a clear glass bowl or trifle dish so the three colored layers show through. You can prepare the dip up to a day ahead and keep it covered in the refrigerator. If the sour cream firms up too much after chilling, let the dish sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
