Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring Cups
  • Whisk
  • 4 Clear Cups

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz) package lemon gelatin
  • 1 (3 oz) package orange gelatin
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 4 clear plastic cups

Instructions

  • Place the lemon gelatin in a bowl and stir in 1 cup boiling water until fully dissolved. Add 1/3 cup cold water and mix well. Divide the mixture evenly among the 4 cups and chill for 30 minutes until set.
  • Repeat the process with the orange gelatin using another 1 cup boiling water and 1/3 cup cold water. Pour this layer gently over the yellow layer in each cup and return to the fridge for another 30 minutes.
  • In a clean bowl, sprinkle the 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin over the remaining 1 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved. Add the sweetened condensed milk and the final 1/3 cup cold water, stirring until smooth. Let the mixture cool slightly, then pour it over the orange layer in each cup.
  • Chill the cups for at least 2 hours until the white layer is firm. Serve cold.

Notes

Prepare the cups the night before so each layer has plenty of time to set without rushing. If the white mixture starts to thicken too soon while waiting for the orange layer, set the bowl over a pan of warm water and stir to loosen it before pouring. These cups keep covered in the fridge for up to two days.
