Candy Corn Layered Parfait
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Parfait glasses

Ingredients

  • 3.4-ounce package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • Yellow gel food coloring
  • Orange gel food coloring
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 12 candy corn pieces

Instructions

  • Whisk the pudding mix and cold milk in a medium bowl until the mixture thickens, about two minutes.
  • Divide the pudding evenly into two smaller bowls. Add yellow gel food coloring to one bowl and orange gel food coloring to the other, stirring each until the color is uniform.
  • Spoon the yellow pudding into the bottom of four small glasses or jars.
  • Add a layer of the orange pudding on top of the yellow.
  • Finish each glass with a layer of whipped topping.
  • Place three candy corn pieces on the whipped topping of each parfait just before serving.

Notes

Prepare the pudding layers a few hours ahead and keep the glasses covered in the fridge, but add the candy corn right before serving so it stays firm. If you want a brighter color, use gel food coloring instead of liquid so the pudding stays thick. For a lighter version, swap half the whipped topping for plain Greek yogurt in the top layer.
