Candy Corn Popcorn Clusters
Course Snack
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Large mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 8 cups plain popped popcorn
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  • Add the popped popcorn, candy corn, and salt to the bowl of melted chocolate. Stir gently until the popcorn and candy corn are evenly coated.
  • Drop heaping spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet to form clusters. Let the clusters sit at room temperature until the chocolate firms up.

Notes

Break any large clusters into smaller pieces before packing them for the office so coworkers can grab one or two at a time. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days to keep the popcorn crisp. If the white chocolate thickens while mixing, warm it briefly for a few seconds to loosen it again.
