Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Rolling pin
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) ball pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded yellow cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded orange cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 475°F and place a large baking sheet inside to warm.
  • Roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
  • Sprinkle the yellow cheddar in a wide ring around the outer edge of the sauced area.
  • Add the orange cheddar in the next ring, filling the middle section.
  • Fill the center circle with the mozzarella cheese.
  • Slide the pizza onto the hot baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, let it rest for 2 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Arrange the cheese rings while the dough is cold so the colors stay in clean bands. If the yellow cheddar looks pale after baking, a quick pass under the broiler for 30 seconds deepens the shade without overcooking the rest of the pizza. Leftovers reheat best on a dry skillet over medium heat to keep the crust crisp.
