Caramel Apple Nacho Platter
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Serving platter

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples
  • 3/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon orange and black sprinkles

Instructions

  • Core the apples and cut them into thin wedges. Arrange the wedges in a single overlapping layer on a large serving platter.
  • Warm the caramel sauce slightly in the microwave until it is pourable. Drizzle it evenly over the apple slices.
  • Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips across the platter while the caramel is still warm so they stick in place.
  • Add the chopped peanuts next, scattering them over the caramel and chocolate.
  • Finish with the orange and black sprinkles for a quick Halloween touch, then serve right away.

Notes

Warm the caramel just enough to drizzle smoothly without making the apples soggy. If you need to prep ahead, slice the apples and store them in lemon water, then pat dry and assemble at the last minute. Swap the peanuts for sunflower seeds if any kids have nut allergies.
