Caramel Apple Nacho Skillet
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Large Skillet
Microwave
Knife
- 4 large apples
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Core the apples and cut them into thin wedges. Arrange the slices in a single layer inside a large skillet.
Place the caramel sauce in a microwave-safe bowl and warm it for 15 to 20 seconds until it is pourable.
Drizzle the warm caramel evenly over the apple slices.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, and cinnamon across the top.
Serve the skillet right away while the caramel is still warm.
Warm the caramel just enough to drizzle without making the apples soggy. If you prefer a firmer texture, chill the assembled skillet for 10 minutes before serving. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge, but the apples will soften; reheat briefly in the microwave to bring back some of the caramel flow.
