Caramel Apple Nachos with Toffee Crumble
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Serving platter
Microwave
Knife
- 4 large apples (such as Honeycrisp), cored and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 4 (1.4-ounce) toffee bars, crushed into small pieces
Arrange the apple slices in a single overlapping layer on a large serving platter.
Warm the caramel sauce in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds if it is too thick to drizzle.
Drizzle the warmed caramel evenly over the apple slices.
Sprinkle the crushed toffee pieces across the top so every slice gets some crunch.
Use tart apples to cut the sweetness of the caramel and toffee. Crush the toffee bars just before serving so the pieces stay crisp rather than softening. If you need to make it ahead, keep the apples in lemon water and assemble right before guests arrive.
