Caramel Apple Overnight Oats with Cinnamon
Course Breakfast
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • 4 Jars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk of choice
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 medium apples, 1 diced and 1 thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Add the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, diced apple, cinnamon, caramel sauce, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir everything together until the ingredients are evenly combined and the caramel sauce is fully distributed.
  • Divide the mixture evenly among four jars or containers.
  • Seal the jars and place them in the refrigerator to rest overnight.
  • In the morning, remove the jars from the fridge and top each serving with the sliced apple and an extra drizzle of caramel sauce before eating.

Notes

Stir the oats once after they have chilled for a few hours if you notice the caramel settling at the bottom. The sliced apple on top keeps its crunch, so add it just before serving rather than mixing it in ahead of time. Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to three days.
