Pitcher
Muddler
Highball glasses
- 8 ounces gin
- 1 cup fresh mango puree
- Juice from 4 limes
- 1 fresh red chili, thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons chili powder mixed with salt
- Ice cubes
- 2 cups sparkling water
- Mango slices for garnish
- Lime wedges for garnish
Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip the rims into the chili powder and salt mixture.
Add the mango puree, lime juice, and sliced red chili to a pitcher. Muddle gently for a few seconds to release the chili flavor.
Pour in the gin and stir well to combine.
Fill four glasses with ice cubes. Divide the gin mixture evenly among the glasses.
Top each glass with sparkling water and stir once more.
Garnish with mango slices and lime wedges before serving.
Make the mango puree ahead by blending fresh or frozen mango until smooth, then chill it so the drink stays cold longer. If the heat feels too strong, reduce the chili slices next time or strain them out after muddling. For a drier version, swap half the sparkling water for dry sparkling wine.
