Coffee Caramel Skeleton Jello Shots
Course Drink
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Shot glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup caramel vodka
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • Extra caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  • Pour the cold water into a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over it. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  • Warm the brewed coffee in a saucepan over low heat until hot but not boiling. Stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  • Remove the pan from heat and mix in the caramel vodka, coffee liqueur, and 2 tablespoons caramel sauce until smooth.
  • Divide the mixture evenly among 4 small shot glasses or molds.
  • Place the glasses in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours until firm.
  • Drizzle a little extra caramel sauce over each shot just before serving.

Notes

Stir the caramel sauce well into the warm mixture so it blends evenly instead of settling at the bottom. For a stronger coffee taste, use espresso instead of regular brewed coffee. Store any leftovers covered in the fridge for up to two days.
