Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Large Pitcher
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Serving Glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1 cup blood orange juice
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1 blood orange, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Pour the red wine, cranberry juice, blood orange juice, and brandy into a large pitcher.
  • Add the sliced blood orange and fresh cranberries directly to the liquid.
  • Stir the mixture until the ingredients are fully combined.
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least two hours so the fruit flavors can infuse the wine.
  • Right before serving, pour in the sparkling water and add ice cubes.
  • Give the punch one final gentle stir and serve in glasses with some fruit in each.

Notes

Make the base mixture the day before so the cranberries and orange slices have more time to release their flavor. Use a drier red wine if you want less sweetness overall. Keep the sparkling water separate until the last moment to maintain the fizz.
