Old fashioned glasses
- 8 ounces gin
- 4 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice
- 2 ounces cinnamon syrup
- 8 dashes orange bitters
- Ice cubes
- Fresh cranberries for garnish
- 4 cinnamon sticks for garnish
Add the gin, cranberry juice, cinnamon syrup, and orange bitters to a mixing glass.
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and stir steadily for about 30 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
Place fresh ice cubes into four old-fashioned glasses.
Strain the mixture evenly into the prepared glasses.
Drop a few fresh cranberries into each glass and add one cinnamon stick per drink.
Use a lighter hand with the cinnamon syrup if you prefer a drier drink, and taste as you stir so the spice level suits your batch. Fresh cranberries hold their shape better than frozen ones when used as garnish, and the cinnamon sticks can be reused for a second round if you rinse them after serving.
