Cranberry Rosemary Gin Fizz Pitcher
Course Drink
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Large Pitcher
  • Small Saucepan
  • Stirring Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gin
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • Ice
  • Fresh cranberries and extra rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine the sugar, water, and 2 rosemary sprigs in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar fully dissolves, then remove from heat and let the syrup cool for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the rosemary sprigs from the syrup and pour the cooled syrup into a large pitcher.
  • Add the gin and cranberry juice to the pitcher. Stir well to blend the liquids.
  • Just before serving, pour in the sparkling water and stir gently to keep the fizz.
  • Fill four glasses with ice. Divide the pitcher mixture among the glasses.
  • Garnish each glass with a few fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig.

Notes

Make the rosemary syrup up to two days ahead and store it in the fridge so the pitcher comes together faster on party night. If the drink tastes too tart, add an extra splash of sparkling water rather than more sugar. Use fresh cranberries as garnish only, since they stay firm and add color without watering down the mix.
