Ghostly Caprese Skewer Stacks
Course Appetizer
Cuisine Italian
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Wooden skewers
  • Knife
  • Serving platter

Ingredients

  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • 12 bocconcini mozzarella balls
  • 12 fresh basil leaves
  • 12 wooden skewers
  • 4 black olives, sliced into small rounds
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

Instructions

  • Thread one cherry tomato onto each skewer, followed by one basil leaf and one bocconcini mozzarella ball. Push the mozzarella slightly higher on the skewer so it sits above the tomato and basil.
  • Use a small knife to cut tiny eye shapes from the black olive slices. Press two olive pieces gently onto the front of each mozzarella ball to create a simple face.
  • Arrange the finished skewers on a serving platter. Drizzle the balsamic glaze lightly over the tops just before serving.

Notes

Make these up to two hours ahead and keep them covered in the fridge, then add the balsamic glaze right before guests arrive so the mozzarella stays dry. If you need a dairy-free option, swap the bocconcini for firm tofu cubes and adjust the olive placement the same way.
