Cuisine American
Cocktail shaker
Martini glasses
Measuring jigger
- 8 ounces gin
- 4 ounces white cranberry juice
- 2 ounces dry vermouth
- Ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons white sanding sugar
- 12 fresh cranberries
Rub the rims of four martini glasses with a bit of white cranberry juice. Dip each rim into the white sanding sugar to coat evenly.
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Pour in the gin, white cranberry juice, and dry vermouth.
Shake the mixture for 15 seconds until it feels cold. Strain the liquid into the prepared glasses.
Drop three fresh cranberries into each glass as garnish.
Make the sugar rims ahead and let them set so they stay crisp. If the drink tastes too tart, add a splash more white cranberry juice before shaking. Skip the cranberries if you want a simpler look, but they add a nice pop of color against the pale liquid.
