Mixing Bowl
Whisk
4 Clear Cups
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1/2 cup whipped topping
- 4 rectangular chocolate cookies
- 8 gummy worms
Pour the cold milk into a mixing bowl and add the instant chocolate pudding mix. Whisk for two minutes until the mixture thickens.
Stir the whipped topping into the pudding until fully combined for a lighter texture.
Place a spoonful of crushed chocolate sandwich cookies in the bottom of each of four clear cups.
Add a layer of pudding over the cookie crumbs in each cup. Repeat with another layer of crumbs and pudding.
Top each cup with a final sprinkle of crushed cookies to form the dirt surface.
Press one rectangular chocolate cookie upright into the back of each cup to create a tombstone. Add two gummy worms per cup, tucking them partially into the crumbs.
Make the pudding base the day before and store it covered in the refrigerator, then assemble the cups just before serving so the cookie crumbs stay crisp. Use a small knife to etch names or crosses on the rectangular cookies if you want clearer tombstones. If you need a dairy-free version, swap the milk and whipped topping for plant-based alternatives without changing the assembly steps.
