Mixing bowl
Measuring cups
Shot glasses
- 1 packet (3 oz) strawberry jello mix
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3/4 cup red wine
- 1/4 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup fresh mixed berries
- 4 orange slices
Pour the strawberry jello mix into a heat-safe bowl.
Add the boiling water and stir until the powder fully dissolves.
Stir in the red wine and cranberry juice until the liquid looks even.
Place a few fresh berries into the bottom of four small cups or molds.
Pour the jello mixture over the berries, filling each cup about three-quarters full.
Chill the cups in the refrigerator for at least four hours until the jello sets.
Top each shot with an orange slice before serving.
Use a dry red wine so the shots do not turn too sweet. Keep the berries small so they fit neatly in the cups without breaking the surface. These shots hold well in the fridge for one day if you cover them tightly.
