Layered Candy Corn Taco Dip
Course Appetizer
Cuisine Mexican
Mixing bowl
Clear serving dish
Spoon
- 1 cup corn kernels, drained
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Spread the corn kernels evenly across the bottom of a clear serving dish to form the yellow base layer.
In a mixing bowl, stir the refried beans together with the taco seasoning until fully combined.
Spoon the seasoned bean mixture over the corn and smooth it into an even layer.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the bean layer and press it down lightly so it stays in place.
Spread the sour cream across the top in a final smooth layer.
Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving with tortilla chips.
Use a clear glass bowl so the three colored layers stay visible from the side. If the shredded cheese looks too pale, swap in a sharper orange cheddar for better contrast. Leftovers keep covered in the refrigerator for one day, though the sour cream layer may loosen slightly.
