Midnight Berry Mojito
Course Drink
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Muddler
  • Glasses
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 20 fresh mint leaves
  • Juice of 4 limes
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces white rum
  • 16 ounces club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Extra blackberries and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • Divide the blackberries and mint leaves evenly among four glasses.
  • Add the lime juice and sugar to each glass. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to press the berries and mint until the juices release.
  • Pour 2 ounces of white rum into each glass and stir to combine the flavors.
  • Fill the glasses with ice cubes. Top each one with about 4 ounces of club soda.
  • Drop in a few extra blackberries and a mint sprig for garnish before serving.

Notes

Muddle the berries just enough to release color without turning the drink cloudy. If your blackberries are very sweet, start with less sugar and taste before adding more. Swap in frozen blackberries when fresh ones are out of season to help chill the drink faster.
