Monster Apple Bites with Peanut Butter

Cutting board
knife
butter knife
- 4 medium apples
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
Wash the apples and cut each one into 6 to 8 wedges. Remove the core from each wedge.
Spread a thin layer of peanut butter across the cut side of every apple wedge.
Press two raisins onto the peanut butter near the top of each wedge to form eyes.
Add a few sliced almonds below the raisins to create a mouth or teeth.
Arrange the finished wedges on a plate and serve right away so the apples stay crisp.
Choose firm apples so the wedges hold their shape once the peanut butter is added. If the peanut butter feels too thick, stir in a teaspoon of honey to make spreading easier for small hands. Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one day, though the apples may soften slightly.
