Monster Claw Crab Rangoon Puffs
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 ounces crab claw meat, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped crab claw meat, green onions, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce until evenly mixed.
  • Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about one tablespoon of filling into the center. Brush the edges with beaten egg.
  • Fold the wrapper by bringing two opposite corners together over the filling, then pinch the sides to form a pointed claw shape with three tapered edges. Place on the baking sheet and repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Lightly spray the tops of the shaped puffs with olive oil spray. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the wrappers turn golden and crisp.

Notes

Shape the wonton edges sharply before baking so the claws hold their form. Use room-temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in the filling. Leftovers reheat best in a 350-degree oven for five minutes to restore crispness.
