Mummy Hot Dogs in Crescent Rolls
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent roll dough on a flat surface and use a knife to cut it into thin strips about 1/2 inch wide.
Wrap the dough strips around each hot dog in a crisscross pattern, leaving small gaps near the top for the face.
Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the dough is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool for 2 minutes. Use a small amount of mustard to add two dots as eyes on each mummy.
Wrap the dough strips loosely so they separate slightly during baking and create a clearer bandage effect. Serve the mummies warm with any leftover mustard on the side for dipping. You can assemble them a few hours ahead and keep them covered in the fridge, then bake right before serving.
