Cuisine American
Saucepan
Measuring Cup
Mugs
- 8 ounces vanilla vodka
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 4 lemon slices
- 4 cinnamon sticks
Combine the apple cider, honey, 2 cinnamon sticks, and ground nutmeg in a saucepan. Heat over medium until the mixture is hot but not boiling, stirring to dissolve the honey.
Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the lemon juice and vanilla vodka.
Ladle the mixture into four mugs, leaving the cooked cinnamon sticks behind. Add one fresh cinnamon stick and one lemon slice to each mug.
Use a cinnamon stick to stir each serving so the spice flavor stays even from the first sip to the last. If the drink tastes too sweet, add a small splash more lemon juice before serving. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated gently on the stove without bringing them to a boil.
