Pecan-Crusted Baked Brie Bites
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • three shallow bowls
  • oven

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons honey, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the flour in one shallow bowl, the beaten egg mixed with water in a second bowl, and the chopped pecans mixed with salt in a third bowl.
  • Dredge each brie cube in the flour, then dip it in the egg wash, and finally roll it in the pecans to coat all sides.
  • Arrange the coated cubes on the prepared baking sheet with space between each piece.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the pecans turn golden and the cheese softens inside.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle lightly with honey before serving.

Notes

Chop the pecans very fine so they stick well during coating. Serve these bites right after baking while the centers stay warm and creamy. If making ahead, coat the cubes and keep them in the fridge on the baking sheet until ready to bake.
