Pineapple Coconut Zombie Brain Jello Shots
Course Drink
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Shot Glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup coconut cream
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • ¾ cup coconut rum
  • ½ cup cold water

Instructions

  • Pour the cold water into a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  • Combine the pineapple juice and coconut cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the mixture is warm and fully blended, but do not let it boil.
  • Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm juice mixture and stir until the gelatin dissolves completely.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes. Stir in the coconut rum until evenly combined.
  • Divide the mixture among 8 small cups or brain-shaped silicone molds. Place them in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until fully set.

Notes

Use brain-shaped silicone molds if you want a stronger visual effect for the name. Shake the can of coconut cream well before measuring so the thick and liquid parts combine. Store any leftovers covered in the fridge for up to two days. If the shots seem too firm after chilling, let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
