Pomegranate Vampire Sangria
Course Drink
Cuisine Spanish
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Large Pitcher
  • Stirring Spoon
  • Glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle dry red wine
  • 1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 cup club soda
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Pour the red wine, pomegranate juice, brandy, and orange liqueur into a large pitcher. Stir until the liquids are fully combined.
  • Add the orange slices and pomegranate seeds to the pitcher. Stir gently to distribute the fruit.
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least two hours so the flavors blend.
  • Just before serving, pour in the club soda and stir once more.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and ladle the sangria over the ice, making sure each glass gets some fruit.

Notes

Chill the wine and pomegranate juice ahead of time so the batch stays cold longer after mixing. If the sangria tastes too tart after chilling, add an extra splash of orange liqueur before serving. Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for one day, though the club soda will lose its fizz.
