Platter
- 8 fresh figs
- 4 ounces blue cheese
- 8 thin slices prosciutto
- 8 small wooden skewers
Cut each fig in half lengthwise.
Crumble the blue cheese into small pieces.
Place a few crumbles of blue cheese on the cut side of each fig half.
Wrap one slice of prosciutto around each stuffed fig half, securing it gently.
Thread one wrapped fig onto each wooden skewer.
Arrange the skewers on a platter and serve at room temperature.
Choose firm but ripe figs so they hold their shape when wrapped. If the prosciutto feels too thick, use half slices to avoid overpowering the blue cheese. These skewers can be assembled up to two hours ahead and kept covered in the fridge, then brought out just before serving to keep the textures fresh.
