Pumpkin Patch Candy Corn and Caramel Apple Board
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Parchment paper
  • Serving board

Ingredients

  • 4 small apples
  • 1 (14 oz) bag caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups candy corn
  • 1 cup candy pumpkins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate-covered raisins
  • 8 pretzel sticks

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the apples thoroughly so the caramel sticks well.
  • Unwrap the caramels and place them in a microwave-safe bowl with the milk.
  • Microwave the caramel mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  • Insert one pretzel stick into the top of each apple to act as a stem.
  • Dip each apple into the melted caramel, turning to coat evenly, then let excess drip off.
  • Place the coated apples on a parchment-lined tray to set for a few minutes.
  • Arrange the apples on a serving board with space between them.
  • Fill the gaps with piles of candy corn, candy pumpkins, and chocolate-covered raisins to create the pumpkin patch look.

Notes

Use room-temperature apples so the caramel sets without sliding off. If the caramel thickens while dipping, warm it briefly to loosen it again. The chocolate-covered raisins add a nice contrast to the bright candy corn colors.
