Pumpkin Patch Turkey Sliders
Course Main Course
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Large Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 slider buns
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the ground turkey, pumpkin puree, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix with clean hands until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a small, flat patty about 3 inches wide.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • While the patties cook, split the slider buns and place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each bun.
  • Set a cooked patty on each cheese slice. Add a parsley leaf on top of the patty to resemble a pumpkin stem, then close the buns.

Notes

Form the patties slightly thinner than regular burgers so they cook evenly without drying out. The parsley leaf stays fresh if added right before serving. Leftovers keep in an airtight container in the fridge for two days and reheat well in a 300°F oven for 8 minutes.
