Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Oven
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough (12-inch size)
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 12 fresh sage leaves
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F and stretch the pizza dough onto a lightly oiled baking sheet.
  • Stir the pumpkin puree, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper together in a bowl until combined.
  • Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
  • Dot the ricotta across the pumpkin layer, then sprinkle the mozzarella evenly on top.
  • Arrange the sage leaves over the cheese.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted and bubbled.

Notes

Press the sage leaves gently into the cheese so they stay in place while baking. The pizza tastes best right after it comes out of the oven, but leftovers can be reheated in a 350°F oven for a few minutes to restore crispness. Skip extra herbs since the listed sage already supplies the main flavor.
