Pumpkin-Shaped Cheese Ball with Crackers and Veggies
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Plastic wrap

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 small green bell pepper
  • 20 assorted crackers
  • 1 cup carrot and celery sticks

Instructions

  • Place the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a mixing bowl. Stir until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
  • Lay a piece of plastic wrap on the counter. Scrape the cheese mixture onto the wrap and shape it into a round ball with your hands.
  • Use the edge of a spatula or a butter knife to press shallow vertical lines around the ball to create pumpkin segments.
  • Cut the top off the green bell pepper and trim a short stem piece. Press the stem gently into the top center of the cheese ball.
  • Transfer the finished cheese ball to a serving plate. Arrange the crackers and vegetable sticks around the base.

Notes

Chill the cheese ball for at least 30 minutes before serving so it firms up and holds its shape. If you want a deeper orange color, roll the outside lightly in extra paprika before adding the stem. Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for two days when wrapped tightly.
