Pumpkin Spice Nut and Dried Fruit Board
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Serving board

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, and pecans)
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed nuts and pumpkin seeds. Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice. Stir until the nuts and seeds are evenly coated.
  • Spread the mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the nuts are lightly toasted and fragrant.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the nut mixture cool completely on the sheet.
  • Arrange the cooled nuts and seeds on a serving board. Scatter the dried cranberries, dried apricots, and raisins around and over the nuts to fill out the board.

Notes

For a Halloween look, shape the nuts into a pumpkin outline on the board and use the dried fruits as accents. If you prefer less sweetness, reduce the maple syrup by half before coating the nuts. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days to keep the nuts crisp.
