Course Main Course
Cuisine Asian
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Sheet Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 red bell peppers, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef, broccoli florets, and bell peppers with the soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss everything until the meat and vegetables are evenly coated.
  • Spread the mixture in a single layer on the prepared sheet pan.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are tender but still bright.
  • Remove from the oven and serve over cooked rice, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Notes

Slice the beef as thin as possible before mixing so it stays tender after baking. If the pan looks crowded, divide the mixture between two sheet pans to keep the vegetables from steaming. Leftovers reheat well in a skillet over medium heat to restore some crispness to the broccoli.
