Skeleton Bone Pretzel Rods with Cheese Dip
Course Snack
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Small saucepan

Ingredients

  • 12 pretzel rods
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set the pretzel rods aside while you prepare the coating.
  • Place the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  • Dip both ends of each pretzel rod into the melted white chocolate, leaving the center uncovered. Place the coated rods on the prepared baking sheet and let them set at room temperature.
  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir steadily until the cheeses melt and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer the cheese dip to a serving bowl. Arrange the coated pretzel rods around the bowl for dipping.

Notes

Let the white chocolate coating set completely before moving the pretzels so the bone shape stays clean. If the cheese dip thickens while sitting, stir in a splash of warm milk to loosen it again. You can prepare the pretzels a few hours ahead and keep them in an airtight container at room temperature.
