Skeleton Fruit and Cheese Skewers

Cutting board
Knife
Wooden skewers
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 bananas, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 1 cup red grapes
- 1 cup green grapes
- 16 wooden skewers
Lay out the cheese cubes, banana slices, and grapes on a clean work surface so kids can reach everything easily.
Take one skewer and thread a cheese cube onto it, followed by a banana slice and then a grape. Repeat the pattern two more times to make a long body shape.
Use a second skewer to make matching arms or legs by adding just two or three cheese and fruit pieces.
Continue building the rest of the skewers until all the cheese and fruit are used. Let each child arrange their own skeleton figures on a plate.
Make the skeletons ahead of time and store them in a covered container in the fridge for up to four hours. Swap the mozzarella for another mild white cheese if needed, but avoid anything too soft that will not stay on the skewer. Serve with small plates so kids can move pieces around without making a mess.
