Rocks glasses
- 8 ounces dark rum
- 4 teaspoons brown sugar
- 8 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- Ice cubes
- 4 orange twists
- 4 cinnamon sticks
Add the brown sugar, Angostura bitters, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice to a mixing glass. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth.
Pour in the dark rum and stir again to combine all ingredients evenly.
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and stir steadily for about 30 seconds until the drink is well chilled.
Strain the mixture into four rocks glasses filled with fresh ice cubes.
Twist each orange peel over a glass to release oils, then drop it in. Add one cinnamon stick to each glass for garnish.
Stir the pumpkin puree thoroughly in the first step so it blends without clumps. If the drink tastes too sweet, add an extra dash of bitters before serving. The cinnamon sticks can be used to gently stir the drink at the table for a stronger spice aroma.
