Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • 8x8 Baking Pan
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8x8 baking pan.
  • Melt the butter in a mixing bowl. Stir in the sugar until combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  • Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until the batter is smooth.
  • Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  • Spoon the melted white chocolate into a small zip-top bag, snip a tiny corner, and pipe circles on top of the cooled brownies. Drag a toothpick through the circles to form a web pattern. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Pipe the white chocolate web while the brownies are fully cooled so the lines stay sharp. A light hand with the toothpick keeps the design clean. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
