Spiderweb Hummus and Dip Board
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Serving platter
  • zip-top bag
  • toothpick

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain hummus
  • 1/4 cup black bean dip
  • 1 cup baby carrots
  • 1 cup cucumber rounds
  • 1 cup red bell pepper strips
  • 8 pita chips
  • 4 whole black olives

Instructions

  • Spread the hummus in an even layer across a large serving board or platter.
  • Spoon the black bean dip into a small zip-top bag and snip off one corner to create a piping tip.
  • Pipe the black bean dip in a spiral pattern over the hummus, then drag a toothpick from the center outward in straight lines to form the web shape.
  • Arrange the baby carrots, cucumber rounds, and red bell pepper strips around the edges of the hummus.
  • Tuck the pita chips into the vegetable sections so they stay easy to reach.
  • Slice two olives in half lengthwise for spider bodies and use small olive pieces to form legs, then place the spiders on the web.

Notes

Pipe the black bean dip slowly so the lines stay thin and clear. If the dip feels too thick, stir in a teaspoon of water before filling the bag. Keep the board covered in the fridge until serving so the vegetables stay crisp.
