Spooky Mummy Hot Dogs in Crescent Rolls
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
- 4 hot dogs
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
Heat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent dough on a cutting board and slice it into thin strips about half an inch wide.
Wrap the strips around each hot dog in a crisscross pattern, leaving a small uncovered space near one end for the face.
Place the wrapped hot dogs on the baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the dough turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool for two minutes. Use a small amount of mustard to draw two eyes on the uncovered section of each hot dog.
Leave the face area slightly wider so the mustard eyes show clearly after baking. If the dough starts to stick while wrapping, dust your hands lightly with flour. These are best served right after baking with extra mustard on the side for dipping.
