Spooky Spiderweb Hummus Charcuterie Board
Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Large serving board
  • zip-top bag
  • knife

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces plain hummus
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 8 black olives
  • 4 ounces sliced salami
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese cubes
  • 1 cup carrot sticks
  • 1 cup cucumber slices
  • 20 round crackers
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Spread the hummus evenly across a large serving board in a thick, round layer.
  • Mix the tahini with water in a small bowl until it reaches a pourable consistency.
  • Spoon the thinned tahini into a zip-top bag and snip a small corner. Pipe four concentric circles on top of the hummus.
  • Drag a toothpick from the center outward through the circles at even intervals to form a web pattern.
  • Slice four black olives in half and place them on the web to resemble spiders.
  • Arrange the salami slices, cheddar cubes, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, and crackers around the hummus in separate sections.
  • Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the vegetables and cheese for color.

Notes

Make the web just before guests arrive so the tahini lines stay defined. If you need more servings, double the hummus and tahini but keep the same number of olives for the spiders. Leftovers store well in an airtight container for two days, though the web may blur once mixed.
