Toasted Marshmallow and Dark Chocolate S’mores Dip
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
- 8 ounces dark chocolate chips
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Graham crackers, for serving
Preheat the broiler to high and position a rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
Use the butter to lightly grease the inside of an 8-inch oven-safe skillet.
Spread the dark chocolate chips evenly across the bottom of the skillet.
Arrange the mini marshmallows in a single layer over the chocolate chips.
Place the skillet under the broiler and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely until the marshmallows turn golden brown on top.
Remove the skillet from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes before serving with graham crackers on the side.
Keep a close eye during broiling since marshmallows can go from golden to burnt in seconds. If you prefer a deeper chocolate flavor, use 70 percent cacao chips. Leftovers can be reheated briefly in a 300-degree oven to restore the gooey texture, though the marshmallows will soften further on the second round.
