Vampire Bite Dark Chocolate and Cherry Cordial Board
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Serving board
Small bowl
Knife
- 8 ounces dark chocolate
- 16 cherry cordials
- 1 cup fresh cherries
- ½ cup dried cherries
- ¼ cup cherry preserves
Break the dark chocolate into small squares and spread them across a large serving board in two or three loose clusters.
Tuck the cherry cordials into the spaces between the chocolate pieces so they are easy to grab.
Scatter the fresh cherries and dried cherries around the other items in small groups for color and texture.
Spoon the cherry preserves into a small bowl and set the bowl on the board so guests can dip pieces as they like.
Choose a dark chocolate with at least 70 percent cocoa so the flavor stands up to the sweet cordials. Assemble the board no more than two hours ahead and keep it in a cool spot to prevent the chocolate from softening. If the preserves feel thick, give them a quick stir before placing them out.
