Vampire Blood Orange Spritz
Course Drink
Cuisine Italian
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Measuring jigger
  • 4 serving glasses
  • Pitcher

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces blood orange juice
  • 4 ounces vodka
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) prosecco, chilled
  • 8 ounces club soda, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • 4 blood orange slices, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon grenadine

Instructions

  • Fill four glasses with ice cubes to keep the drink cold from the first pour.
  • Add 2 ounces of blood orange juice and 1 ounce of vodka to each glass.
  • Pour 6 ounces of chilled prosecco into each glass, followed by 2 ounces of chilled club soda.
  • Drizzle 3/4 teaspoon of grenadine slowly into each glass so it settles at the bottom for a layered blood effect.
  • Place one blood orange slice on the rim of each glass as garnish.

Notes

Chill the prosecco and club soda ahead of time so the spritz stays fizzy longer after mixing. If you want less sweetness, reduce the grenadine to a few drops per glass. For a nonalcoholic version, swap the vodka and prosecco with extra club soda and a splash of orange sparkling water.
