- 8 pretzel rods
- 4 string cheese sticks
- 8 sliced almonds
Cut each string cheese stick in half crosswise to make 8 pieces total. Use a small knife to score two shallow lines across each piece to create knuckle marks.
Press one end of each pretzel rod firmly into the cut end of a cheese piece so the pretzel forms the base of the finger. The cheese should cover about half the length of the pretzel.
Place one sliced almond on the tip of each cheese piece and press gently to secure it as the fingernail. Repeat with all pieces until you have 8 finished fingers.
Arrange the fingers on a plate or tray with the almond side facing up so the details show clearly.
Score the knuckles lightly so they stay visible after the cheese softens slightly at room temperature. If the almond does not stay in place, dab a tiny bit of the cheese onto the tip first to help it stick. These are best assembled just before serving so the pretzels stay crisp.
