Course Appetizer
Cuisine American
Servings 4 people

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Tongs

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and toss them with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  • Spread the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the skin is golden and crisp.
  • While the wings bake, stir together the honey and soy sauce in a small bowl to make the glaze.
  • Remove the wings from the oven and transfer them to a clean large bowl. Pour the honey glaze over the wings and toss gently until each wing is coated.
  • Return the wings to the baking sheet and bake for 5 more minutes to set the glaze. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra crisp skin, pat the wings dry with paper towels before seasoning. The glaze thickens as it cools, so toss the wings right after they come out of the oven if you want a thicker coating. Leftovers reheat well in a 350 degree F oven for 10 minutes to restore crispness without making the glaze runny.
